"The Lord Reigns" was our olddie but goodie song this week ;) It worked well with "Holy Is The Lord" both lyrically and key wise.
Holy Is The Lord The Lord Reigns All Of My Days Heart Of Worship Jesus, Be The Center Anchor Of My Soul Only You I Will Offer Up My Life
We did the David Crowder tune "Wholly Yours" for the third time and the people really seem to be catching on. Good song.
Maker Of All Things Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord You Are God Alone Wholly Yours Befriended My Only Hope Grace Flows Down Lamb Of God
Sounds like you would like to see what we are singing over at Touchstone so here ya go. Email me and tell me what you sang at church this last Sunday. I'm thinking I could even maybe get some sound clips up in the future if you are interested.

Hello again! I appologize for neglecting to update the website on what has been happening over the last several months. I thought maybe you'd be more likely to forgive me on Valentines Day :) Since my last post, much has happened. Long story short, I am now the full-time worship leader at Touchstone Christian Fellowship. It has been challenging for me to sort of change directions in music from "guest artist/worship leader" to full-time permanent worship leader but I'm really enjoying it. Because I've been spending most of my time listening to and charting worship music...I haven't had much time to spare for writing. I have been working on some new worship songs so that keeps the creative juices flowing. I'm always looking for great worship songs so feel free to email me your favorites. I'm thinking of posting the set lists each week so you can see what we are singing over here. What do you think of that?

Sorry for the long delay in updating the website! Life has been CRAZY busy getting the kids in school, looking for a home, working part-time and filling in for the worship leader while he was on vacation. No excuses.....I know! California is GREAT I must say. The weather has been unbelievable and I hadn't realized how much I'd taken for granted. I do however miss the bright wonderful fall colors of New England. There are some trees full of color here in Northern California but it's nothing like back East. Not much new to report on the music front, however there may be something in the works soon so check back! I'll be making weekly posts from here on out. Even if it's just to let you know what my favorite song is lately. ha :)
So here's the deal for those of you who are wondering where I'll be playing next ;) I'm in the middle of moving from the East Coast back to my home on the other coast..I'm going back to Cali (sing along). My husband is completely changing careers from TV News Anchor to "Pastor- in-training". We are both excited and sad of course because we will miss all the peeps in Connecticut. I will keep the website up to date on the move so check back often to see what's up. If you want to check out our new church just go here.
We had a great time up in Gilford. Got a few photos up so check 'em out. We missed Joe very much but we were so blessed to have Jason cover the electric guitar work. GREAT JOB!!!

Please sign in and let the world know what you think. It doesn't have to be about me or my music. You can just sign it and tell me a bit about you :) Hope you enjoy!
Yesterday I was interviewed by Tim Schnulle at WIHS radio. You can tune in to 104.9 FM this Saturday at 6pm to hear the first of a two part interview. The show is called "Outside The Box" and Tim interviews musicians, authors, missionaries etc. It was great fun and encouraging to see a radio station promoting local artists.

Hi all. Sorry it's taken so long to make this entry. I now have an extented version of my bio on the BIO page with all kinds of links to artists from the past as well as the people who have deeply influenced my sound and "shape." I'm reading The Purpose Driven Life right now.. hence "SHAPE." If you're curious, you should definitely pick up the book. It's reminding me of the things that matter and is keeping me focused. I'm also finding myself in a writing mode right now. It's funny, because for me writing songs comes and goes. Sometimes I'm so inspired and think of a million tunes to write, and other times nothing could make me sit down and write a song. Now that my kids are a little older, pre-school and kindergarden anyway, I guess I'm getting a little more alone time to be creative. The band is ready to work, so it will be fun having some new tunes to put together.
Does anybody read these? ha email me!
The poverty was shocking to me. I'd never been to a Third World country before and wasn't prepared to see shacks made of scrap wood and tin and babies and toddlers crawling around on dirt floors. Many of the one-room houses had nothing more than a bed and a single plastic chair inside. But I was also moved by how content, sweet and giving the people are. It gives me a completely different perspective on this American life we have and the things that are truly "needed."
It's hot and humid here on the Caribbean coast, and we're getting tons of exercise in, as we hike about 6 miles every day. But the most important thing is that the kids are really responding to our music and our skits and stories.
After one more day here in Haulover, we will take the boat back down to Bluefields. Saturday night we will do the evening youth-oriented service, and I will put on a mini-concert. We`re taking tons of pictures and video, and we hope to have both up here on the site shortly after we get back. See you in about a week.
The debut of the new site was timed to coincide with my latest gig, which my band and I just performed last night (Sunday, October 23rd). The crowd was great at United Church of Christ, Congregational in Newington, CT. They really seemed to enjoy it, despite the echoing acoustics.
The guys and I had a blast, cuz it was my first gig in CT with a full band. Joe Arabis and his Strat and Les Paul gave us the electric sound we lacked in our acoustic gig at Studio 150. In fact, Joe totally nailed the "Toad sound" for our one cover tune, Whatever I Fear.
Now we're all eager to get out and do it again. So if you have an open date, drop me an email.
The next gigs on my calendar are a couple of Christmas thingies. I've always dreamed of doing a Christmas album, and this will be the next best thing. First, I will be the featured performer for the Christmas Program at Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church December 10th & 11th. Be sure to get your tickets soon as these shows fill up fast!
And then I get to sing at WFSB-TV's Holiday concert. I'll actually sing a duet with my husband, who anchors the morning news at WFSB. The show is a wonderful fundraiser for the "Channel 3 Kids Camp," and it stars meteorologist Scot Haney, who happens to be a wonderful, Broadway-type singer. I'm pretty sure that show is Monday, December 12th, but I'll let you know when I know for sure.
Okay, for a first entry, this has probably been too long and too rambling. Sorry. Come back soon for more.
shirl.
